ELIGIBILITY

This contest is open to legal residents over 18 years old. Owners, and employees of Green Event Pros, producer of The Green Home & Living Show, as well as show exhibitors, sponsors and their agencies, affiliate companies and subsidiaries, and their immediate family members living in the same household, are not eligible to participate.

WINNER SELECTION

One winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entry forms received by 4:30 pm, Sunday Oct 4, 2009.  Winner selection will take place at approximately 4:50pm October 4, 2009 at The Portland Expo, 239 Park Avenue, Portland, Maine.  One winner will win a prize valued at approximately $15,500. Actual value may vary. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Winner must not be present to win and claim prize. Green Event Pros reserves the right to change, or cancel this contest or change winner selection process without advance notice. Winner must be a homeowner and at least 18 years old with valid identification. Winner is to pay all taxes, permits and/or additional work, needed in order to facilitate the delivery of prize package. Prize must be claimed within 90 days and remodeling/construction to be scheduled within 6 months and completed within 1 year.  Prize cannot be sold or transferred. Prize has no cash value.

GENERAL

No cash or other substitution of prizes permitted. Winner will be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability and publicity release within ten (10) days of notification. Failure to do so will result in disqualification and selection of alternate winner. Acceptance of prize shall constitute: 1) release of co-promotional partners, their affiliates and agents from all liabilities with respect to the prizes; 2) signification of winner’s consent (unless otherwise prohibited by law) to the use of their name, address (city and state only), voice, and/or photograph for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation; 3) an agreement to be bound by these rules. Green Event Pros, whose decision will be final and binding, will decide all disputes relating to the application of these rules. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner and subject to 1099 from participating companies offering the prize package (see above). Winner is subject to applicable federal, state and local laws. GRAND PRIZE COMPONENTS:

USA Insulation: The USA Insulation prize is good for up to a $5,000 credit for wall and/or attic insulation depending upon winners needs. USA Insulation can only apply insulation in a home that lacks existing insulation. This will be determined at sole discretion of USA Insulation upon survey and consultation by USA Insulation representative at winners home. Winner must be a homeowner that lives within a 1.5 hour drive time radius of the USA Insulation office in Portland, Maine.  Extraction of existing insulation is not included. USA Premium Foam insulation will be used in exterior sidewalls and Johns Manville fiberglass insulation will be used in attic floors and kneewalls. All installation will be in accordance with USA Insulation Terms and Conditions of Sale on contract. Installation will be made after written agreement between winner and USA Insulation. Credit equals retail price of job. Classic Windows: 15 new vinyl replacement windows at your residence. Old windows, weights, and all associated hardware will be removed and disposed of by contractor.  Existing storm windows will be removed and disposed of by contractor.   Installation of new replacement unit will be done so in accordance with standard practice and will include insulation in weight pockets, insulation around window perimeter as well as all caulking around the interior and exterior surfaces where window meets woodwork.   Window specified for this project is the HARVEY Slimline vinyl double hung, fully-welded, with LowE/Argon insulated glass. Windows will consist of efficiency upgrade, Solarban-70 and foam filled chamber, to meet guidelines for federal tax credit.  New window units will contain colonial style contoured grids between the glass configurations to be determined).  Fiberglass half screens will be provided for all double hung windows. Color specified for this project is white.  Proper care will be taken to protect surfaces adjacent to and below project areas. Likewise all furnishings and tenants will be respected.  The work area will be kept as orderly as possible and will be left clean upon completion of the project.  All disposal costs are included in this proposal; however there is no allowance for any painting or staining that may be necessary.  WE PROPOSE TO FURNISH LABOR AND MATERIALS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ABOVE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE SUM OF: all current promotions & discounts applied. Complimentary for products and installation of pocket replacement units as described above. PAYMENTS ARE TO BE MADE AS FOLLOWS: There will be NO CHARGE, unless additional work is requested by client. Better Homes Constructions: Home Energy Audit, which includes a blower door test and infrared camera walk through. Our goal is to determine the air infiltration of the home. Service only. Information is qualitative only providing in pictures and a standard report.  Will walk through with homeowners and point out areas in the home where energy problems exist.
